Steiger tractors have been a mainstay of large farmers since the first tractors were built in 1957. Starting in the 1960's the Steiger Tractor Company used names of various animals to denote their different models. These names include the Wildcat, Cougar, Panther, Bearcat, Lion, Puma, and Tiger.
