Built-in safety and initial setup: This heater includes an ultra-high temperature protection thermostat switch to prevent overheating. After installation and safety checks, fill the tub or pool to the appropriate level and start the unit. The system will perform an automatic self-check and run until the thermostat stabilizes at its maximum setting and the display lights go out. Verify the water temperature with an accurate thermometer — it should read 40 °C. Automatic thermostat control: The thermostat operates fully automatically. Turn the dial clockwise to switch the heating on; the indicator light will illuminate. When the water reaches the preset temperature the unit holds that temperature. Temperature limits and heating rate: The thermostat is designed to maintain temperatures not exceeding 40 °C (104 °F). If you begin with cold water, the heater will raise the temperature at a rate of 6 ~ 8 °C/h. Cycling and over-temperature protection: Once the preset temperature is attained the heater will stop and automatically restart when the temperature drops a few degrees. If the water temperature exceeds 49 °C, the ultra-high temperature switch will trip and cut power to the unit.
