Durable, one-piece die-cast metal shell with an integrated muffler cylinder reduces NEXT and AXT electromagnetic noise and minimizes crossover wire interference. A screw-in metal strain relief preserves cable integrity and boosts shielding performance. Each plug includes an IP20-rated dust cover to protect RJ45 contacts during storage or transport. PoE+ ready, these plugs conform to IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) applications. They support Cat8 auto-negotiation so a Cat8 Ethernet cable in a hybrid network can operate at 1 GB, 10 GB or 40 GB switch speeds. Cat8 channel performance is suitable for 10GBASE-T, 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T compatible networks for runs up to 30 meters; GHMT Cat 8 channel performance verification is provided. The RJ45 connector uses an open-hinge design for easier placement and termination of bulky shielded cables; the module accepts T568A or T568B wiring and the termination cover is color-coded. Built for switch and server connections in Cat8-channel networks, the modular plug’s sturdy die-cast shell delivers strong shielding and reduced crosstalk. Supports 22 AWG to 24 AWG shielded Cat8 wire with an outer diameter between 7.0 and 8.5 mm and is fully backward compatible with Cat 6 (Cat6), Cat 6A (Cat6A), Cat 7 (Cat7A) Ethernet.
