Designed for biologics storage, dual microprocessor controllers maintain the precise temperature ranges required: +2 to +8°C for the refrigerator compartment and -30 to -10°C for the freezer, with measurements accurate to 0.1° in C or F. Glycol-filled, buffered temperature probes reproduce the true temperature of stored vaccines rather than just air temperature, while a separate air sensor provides tighter, smarter regulation. The refrigerator and freezer operate on independent systems to avoid temperature drift between compartments, and forced-air cooling in the refrigerator ensures even distribution and fast pull-down after door openings. The unit includes audible/visual out-of-range alarms plus alerts for power failure, door open, and sensor failure; rear remote alarm contacts and a ½" probe port allow connection of external monitoring equipment. Storage is flexible thanks to adjustable plastic-coated wire shelves that reposition in ½" increments. A powder-coated steel interior and antimicrobial silver-ion handles deliver durability and support infection control.
