The CS-IC83 units deliver wide sound dispersion and are passive speakers that connect directly to your receiver or amplifier using raw speaker wire. Ideal for new builds or retrofits where discreet, in-ceiling/wall audio is required. Full-range 3-way design for detailed performance: each speaker includes 8" High Rigidity Poly cone woofers with progressive spiders and butyl rubber surrounds, Poly Mica midranges and 13mm soft dome tweeters. A 3-way passive crossover provides improved fidelity across the response range (40Hz-20 kHz) with a sensitivity of 95dB at 8ohm. Installation-ready hardware: the pressure-lock mounting system clamps securely to drywall. Cut the round speaker hole to 9.45"; the required mounting depth is 3.78" and the overall outer diameter measures 10.83". Spring-loaded raw wire connections simplify hookup, and the durable ABS housings and grills are paintable to blend with your decor. System and wiring requirements: works with any home audio receiver or amp that has raw speaker wire outputs. Recommended amplifier power per channel is no less than 10 and no more than 350 watts. Use CL3 rated in wall certified raw speaker wire to connect your receiver to the speakers.
