These passive CS-IC83 units are driven by your home audio receiver or amplifier and deliver broad sound dispersion for consistent coverage across rooms. Ideal for home theater surround sound, whole-house audio, or business/retail installations. Acoustic design: Full-range 3-way configuration featuring 8" High Rigidity Poly cone woofers with progressive spiders and butyl rubber surrounds, Poly Mica midrange drivers, and 13mm soft dome tweeters. 3-way passive crossovers provide improved fidelity with a frequency response of 40Hz-20 kHz and sensitivity of 95dB at 8ohm. Installation: Pressure-lock mounting clamps secure tightly to drywall; required round speaker hole size is 9.45" with a mounting depth of 3.78" and an overall diameter of 10.83". Connections are spring-loaded raw wire terminals. Housings and grills are made from durable ABS and can be painted to match décor. Power and wiring: Use any home audio receiver or amp with raw speaker wire outputs; amplifier power should be no less than 10 and no more than 350 watts per channel. Use CL3 rated in wall certified raw speaker wire to connect your receiver to the speakers.
