Overview: The ACR1252U USB NFC Reader III from Advanced Card Systems is an NFC Forum–certified, USB-powered contactless reader designed for fast tag interactions and flexible deployment. It features a built-in antenna for contactless tag access with a card reading distance of up to 50 mm (depending on tag type) and read/write speed up to 424 kbps. Supported cards and tags: Compatible with ISO 14443 Type A and B cards, MIFARE®, FeliCa, and all 4 types of NFC (ISO/IEC 18092) tags. Also supports MIFARE® 7-byte UID, MIFARE® Plus, and MIFARE® DESfire. Interface & compliance: USB 2.0 Full Speed Interface with CCID Compliance and USB Firmware Upgradeability for field updates. Security & SAM: Includes one ISO 7816–compliant SAM slot (Class A) for secure key storage and operations. NFC modes & collision handling: Supports NFC Reader/Writer Mode, Peer-to-Peer Mode, and Card Emulation Mode.
