It uses 1000Base-LX optics at 1310 nm over single-mode fiber (SMF) with an LC connector and supports link distances up to 10 km (up to 6.2 miles). The module delivers up to 1000 Mbps throughput — up to 10× the speed of typical Ethernet — for high-performance optical connections between switches, servers and other network equipment. Built for rugged networking environments, the transceiver includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) and a hot-swappable form factor for easy replacement and increased uptime.
