Adequan Canine Injectable for Dogs, 100-mg/ml

FDA-approved for the treatment of noninfectious degenerative and/or traumatic arthritis/joint dysfunction in dogs (IM) and horses (IM or IA) Contraindications include hypersensitivity to PSGAG or known or suspected bleeding disorders. Should not be used in place of other treatments when infection suspected or present or in place of necessary surgical repair or joint immobilization Use it with caution in patients that have hepatic or renal impairment. Adverse effects are unlikely after IM injection. IA use in horses may result in post injection inflammation; discontinue therapy if inflammation is excessive.
