Aglaonema Firecracker - Live Plant in an 8 Inch Growers Pot - Aglaonema Siam Aurora - Beautiful Indoor Easy Care Air Purifying Plant
Aglaonema Firecracker thrives in medium to bright indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and cause the vibrant colors to fade. For an optimal display, place your Aglaonema Firecracker in a bright, indirect light spot and maintain consistent watering and humidity levels. Use the "drench and dry" method: water thoroughly when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry. In summer, this typically means watering every week or two; in winter, less frequent watering is needed, approximately every three weeks. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the soil is well-draining and never soggy. Ideal temperatures range from 65F to 76F 18C 24C, but the plant can tolerate temperatures up to 85F 29C. Aglaonema prefers high humidity, similar to its native tropical environment. To maintain humidity, you can mist the plant occasionally or place it on a tray with pebbles and water. Plant in a well-draining potting mix, preferably one that includes perlite or peat moss to enhance drainage and aeration. Minimal pruning is needed. Remove any yellow or dead leaves by cutting them at the base near the soil. Pruning helps maintain the plants aesthetic and promotes healthier growth. Repot every two to three years in spring using fresh potting soil. Choose a pot that is one or two sizes larger to give the roots room to grow. Aglaonema can be propagated through division. During repotting, gently separate sections of the root ball that have at least two to three leaves. Replant the divided sections in new pots.
