Freshly harvested and tested Argentine Bahia seed — uncoated, not blended with mulch and 100% "Raw". This Bahia selection originated in Argentina (South America) and was initially developed by a university for its forage production qualities; it is sometimes called "Argentina" Bahia. The variety is deep‑rooted and very drought tolerant, with exceptional resistance to disease and insects. It has wide, broad leaves and a richer, darker green color, making it particularly well suited for lawns in Florida and other Coastal Southern states. Because it is sensitive to cold, stands planted north of approximately Tifton, Georgia can experience winter kill. Argentine Bahia is widely used for turf thanks to its attractive appearance and the fact that it produces fewer "objectionable" seed heads than other Bahia types. Best planted in full sun.
