The Bad Wolf SP240V185KA is a Type 2 whole-house surge protector designed to be installed in your main breaker panel to protect all connected circuits. A green LED indicator confirms the unit is actively protecting the panel. It is engineered for normal Line-to-Line voltages of 240VAC and Line-to-Neutral voltages of 120VAC and is rated to absorb surge currents up to 185,000 Amps (185kA). Protection is achieved using Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) Diodes and Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) technologies, combined with Overwatch protection circuitry for reaction speeds measured in the trillionths of a second and the ability to endure thousands of repetitive surges.
