Compact, high-efficiency loudspeaker engineered for broad, even coverage. A wide-dispersion 4-1/2" driver paired with an integral high-frequency radiator assures excellent off-axis response and consistent sound throughout the listening area. The cabinet features a computer-matched venting system to extend bass output while a low-resonance enclosure improves mid-range clarity. Built to handle high power, the MPS1B is suitable for foreground applications or environments with high ambient noise. It supports both 70V systems and low-impedance installations, with selectable power taps controlled via a rear-mounted selector and a dedicated 16-ohm setting for non-transformer multispeaker setups. Installation is simplified by a snap-on connector for fast wiring and a simple single-point suspension method; the grille has a central attachment for suspension and an additional anchor point for a safety cable. The speaker includes a sturdy, contemporary steel grille with fine perforations, and an accessory 10-foot long cable kit is available for use as the main drop cable or as a safety cable.
