Fast, quiet focusing and zoom control: Autofocus is driven by a ring-type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) with a rear focusing system, and full-time manual focus override is available. The zoom ring is adjustable so you can lock the zoom position at any focal length. An eight-blade diaphragm helps produce attractive bokeh. Support and expandability: The removable rotating tripod collar improves stability when mounting the lens on a tripod or monopod and the lens accepts optional EF teleconverters.
