The R10 is built around a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor that balances image detail, file size, speed and low-light capability for versatile stills shooting. Video features support UHD 4K 8-bit recording with two modes: up to 60p using a cropped sensor area or 30p when oversampling from a 6K area to improve sharpness, reduce moiré and lower noise. HDR-PQ is also supported for expanded dynamic range in video. Autofocus uses Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II (the same advanced system found in the EOS R3), offering 651 automatic AF points that span the full sensor for fast, accurate subject acquisition. For high-speed capture the camera can reach 23 fps with the electronic shutter and 15 fps with the mechanical shutter. Framing and monitoring are handled by a 2.36m-Dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 1.04m-Dot Vari-Angle touchscreen LCD. Connectivity and ports include built-in Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, micro-HDMI output and a 3.5mm microphone jack for improved audio when recording video.
