The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a multimedia-ready mirrorless camera body that balances stills and video performance. It uses a new 24.2MP CMOS sensor paired with DIGIC X processing to deliver improved autofocus, faster operation, strong low-light capability, and vivid color reproduction. Handling has been refined with a redesigned top plate for quicker access to shooting modes and more intuitive control. For video creators the sensor records UHD 4K 60p internally using the full width of the sensor and supports 10-bit capture with Canon Log 3. You can also use a 6K recording area to produce oversampled 4K at 30p for enhanced sharpness, reduced moiré, and lower noise, and shoot slow-motion at up to 180p at Full HD resolution. Autofocus is driven by the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system, which provides 1053 automatic AF points spanning the entire sensor. The phase-detection AF delivers fast, accurate focusing and benefits from deep learning–based subject recognition and tracking that can identify and follow people, animals, and vehicles to maintain precise focus. Connectivity options include a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port for in-camera charging and file transfer; this port also allows the camera to function as a Full HD 30p webcam with UVC/UAC support. The body also provides 3.5mm ports for headphones and an external microphone, plus Bluetooth and dual-band Wi‑Fi (5/2.4 GHz) for wireless file transfer and remote control from mobile devices. The upgraded processing in the R6 Mark II supports high-speed burst shooting as well as high-resolution 4K video workflows, enabling up to 40 fps continuous shooting using a silent electronic shutter.
