Its 60° field of view closely matches natural human vision for immersive results. The lens uses a dual-lens autofocus system driven by a gear-type STM motor so both halves focus rapidly, with low noise, and in sync for smooth photo and video performance. It also supports Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF and offers full-time manual focus for precise, intuitive control. Optically, the design comprises nine elements in five groups, incorporating two ultra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberration; Canon’s Super Spectra Coating helps cut ghosting and flare for balanced contrast. A 5.9" minimum focus distance enables detailed, immersive close-ups, while a standard 58mm filter thread accepts common accessories.
