Circular Polarizer — Compatible With Sony 50mm F2.8 Macro

This circular polarizing (CPL) filter is made to work with the Sony 50mm F2.8 Macro and helps reduce unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while boosting color and contrast. The ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting and still allows smooth rotation for fine adjustment. A nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to mount, rotate and remove. Coated on both sides with multi-layered protection, the glass is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil and resistant to scratches and water. By arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflections, the CPL absorbs much of the reflected light, clearing haze in distant landscapes and producing richer, more saturated blues and whites. For the strongest effect, use the filter when your subject is roughly 90° from the sun.
