The glass features double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant. As a circular CPL, the filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass and boosts color and contrast. It’s commonly used to deepen blue skies and enhance cloud definition, reduce haze in distant landscapes, and produce more saturated, vivid colors. CPLs operate by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light at right angles to the reflected light so much of that light is absorbed — the effect is strongest when shooting at approximately a 90° angle to the sun.
