This circular polarizing filter is made for use with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR and is designed to cut unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while intensifying color and contrast. It commonly increases saturation and contrast in blue skies and white clouds, reduces haze in distant landscapes, and delivers its strongest effect when used about 90° from the sun. The filter uses a slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting yet still allows full rotation for precise adjustment. A nonslip upper rim provides an easier, more secure way to mount, rotate and remove the filter. The optical surface features double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and resistant to scratches and water.
