This circular polarizing filter reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while boosting color saturation and contrast. Its ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting yet still permits rotation for leveling and composition adjustments. A nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to mount, turn and remove without slipping. Optical performance is enhanced by double-sided, multi-layer coatings that are resistant to oil, dust, soil, scratches and water. The CPL works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, absorbing much of those reflections. Use it to clear haze in distant landscapes, deepen blue skies and accentuate white clouds — the effect is strongest when shooting at a 90° angle to the sun.
