This circular CPL filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces (water, glass, etc.), boosts color saturation and improves contrast — commonly used to deepen blue skies and make white clouds pop. CPL elements work by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that reflected light to be absorbed. The result is reduced haze in distant landscapes and richer, more vivid colors. The filter delivers its strongest effect when used at a 90° angle from the sun.
