Circular Polarizer (CPL) Filter — Compatible with Sony FE 40mm F2.5 G

Designed for use with the Sony FE 40mm F2.5 G, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter reduces glare and boosts color saturation for clearer, more vibrant images. The ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting while still allowing full rotation for precise polarization adjustment. A nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to fit, rotate and remove. Both sides feature multi-layered, double-sided coatings that are oil-, dust-, soil-, scratch- and water-resistant. The CPL removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, enhances contrast and saturation (especially in blue skies and white clouds), and cuts haze in distant landscapes to deliver richer, more vivid colors. The filter works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to the reflected light so much of the glare is absorbed; its effect is strongest when used at a 90° angle from the sun.
