Designed for the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR, this Circular Polarizing (CPL) filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass while enhancing overall color and contrast. It’s frequently used to boost contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds, and to clear haze in distant landscapes for more vivid, saturated colors. The filter works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed. For strongest results, use the filter when your subject is at a 90° angle from the sun. Physically, the filter features an ultra-slim aluminum frame that avoids vignetting yet maintains rotation capability for level adjustments. A nonslip upper rim makes installation, rotation and removal easy. The glass is treated with double sided, multi-layered coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant.
