Built for use with the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter uses an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting while still permitting full rotation for leveling and exposure control. A nonslip upper rim makes it easy to mount, rotate and remove the filter. The glass is treated with double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant for durable, low-maintenance performance. Functionally, the CPL reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass and boosts color and contrast — frequently used to deepen blue skies and make white clouds pop. By arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, the filter absorbs much of the reflected component, cutting haze in distant landscapes and producing more saturated, vivid colors. The polarizing effect is strongest when shooting at roughly a 90° angle to the sun.
