Low-profile circular polarizer designed for use with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II. The ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting while still allowing full rotation to set the polarization angle precisely. A nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to install, rotate and remove. Optical protection features include double sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant. As a circular CPL, it cuts unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass and boosts overall color and contrast. Photographers commonly use it to deepen blue skies and make white clouds more pronounced. How it works: the CPL arranges and filters directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, enabling absorption of much of the reflected light. The result is reduced haze on distant landscapes and more saturated, vivid colors. The filter produces its strongest effect when used at a 90° angle from the sun.
