Ultra-slim aluminum frame minimizes vignetting while still permitting full rotation to set the polarization level. A nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to mount, rotate and remove. Both sides feature multi-layer coatings for enhanced durability: anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and scratch & water resistant treatment. This circular CPL removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces (water, glass, etc.) and boosts color and contrast. It’s frequently used to deepen contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. The filter works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed. The result is reduced haze in distant landscapes and more saturated, vivid colors — with the strongest effect achieved at a 90° angle from the sun.
