Circular Polarizing (CPL) Filter — Compatible with Olympus 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 Zuiko Digital

This circular polarizing (CPL) filter is made for use with the Olympus 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 Zuiko Digital and reduces glare while boosting color and contrast. An ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting yet retains full rotation capability for adjusting levels. A nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to mount, rotate and remove. The glass carries double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and both scratch- and water-resistant. CPL filters block unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, increase contrast and saturation (especially deepening blue skies and whitening clouds), and clear haze in distant landscapes for more vivid colors. They work by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to the reflected light so much of it is absorbed; the effect is strongest when the filter is used at a 90° angle from the sun.
