Circular Polarizing (CPL) Filter — Compatible With Sony E 50mm F1.8 OSS

Sized for use with the Sony E 50mm F1.8 OSS, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter features an ultra-slim aluminum frame that prevents vignetting while still allowing full rotation for leveling and adjustments. A nonslip upper rim makes mounting, rotating and removal straightforward. The glass carries double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant. As a circular CPL, it removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass and boosts color and contrast. Photographers commonly use it to deepen blue skies and enhance white cloud detail. The filter works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, enabling the absorption of much of that light. It also reduces distant haze for more saturated, vivid landscapes, with the strongest effect achieved when shooting at a 90° angle to the sun.
