This circular CPL filter reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass and can noticeably boost color depth and contrast. It is commonly used to deepen blue skies and make white clouds more pronounced. The filter works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed. The result is reduced haze in distant landscapes and richer, more vivid colors. For maximum polarization effect aim to shoot at a 90° angle from the sun.
