The Commander Optics Super 420-800mm f/8 is an ultra-telephoto manual zoom designed for Sony E-Mount mirrorless cameras. Built with computer-designed optics and advanced multi-coating, this lens reduces flare and delivers high-contrast, sharp images at extreme focal lengths. Its long reach makes it suitable for wildlife, landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, sports, celestial photography and other long-distance shooting applications. A built-in rotatable tripod collar gives stable, vibration-free support when mounted on a tripod or monopod. NOTE: This is a Manual Focus Lens. There are no electronic contacts, so your camera will not detect the lens when mounted and may display "Lens Not Attached." Please set your camera to M mode to use the lens correctly. Automatic exposure is possible in Aperture Priority mode only on cameras with TTL metering; other cameras must be operated in full manual (M) mode. For accurate focusing with this long focal length it is recommended to use live-view. As with all long telephoto zooms, best results require firm camera support — a solid tripod or monopod, careful technique, faster shutter speeds, remote release, and mirror lock-up where available help prevent camera shake.
