It delivers accurate readings with +/-1.5dB accuracy and 0.1 dB resolution across a wide measurement range (30dBA-130dBA). Power management and alerts: An auto power off feature prevents unnecessary battery drain and a low power indicator notifies you when the battery should be replaced. On power-up the unit runs a self-check for 10 seconds to verify operation. Measurement controls and warnings: Use the Max Hold function to freeze the highest recorded level. An overrange/overload warning sign appears to help you pick the proper measurement range (30-80dB;50-100dB;60-110dB;80-130dB) based on the current reading. Outputs for analysis: The side panel provides AC/DC output interfaces so the meter can be connected to external equipment such as an X-Y axis recorder or a frequency analyzer for deeper statistical or frequency analysis. Weightings and time responses: The meter supports frequency weighting C for mechanical noise and A weighting for sounds as perceived by the human ear. Two time weightings are available — "Fast" for real-time response and "Slow" for averaged readings.
