Digitalinx IPEX5002 AV-over-IP Decoder, Scaler & Audio Disembedder

The Digitalinx IPEX5002 decodes HDMI video and audio streamed over a gigabit IP network using JPEG2000 encoding, while providing scaling and audio de-embedding functions. It handles video up to 4K @60Hz 4:2:0 with HDCP 2.2 and supports 7.1 multichannel audio, as well as HDR content. An analog audio output port extracts audio from the HDMI feed for connection to external sound systems. Power over Ethernet (PoE) enables remote powering of the unit. Control and peripheral connectivity include an RS232 port that relays commands from the IP controller and functions in pass-through, bidirectional IR in/out for two-way IR control, and a USB connection that forwards keyboard and mouse signals from the decoder back to the encoder. The built-in scaler provides both upscaling and downscaling, supporting up to 4K30 4:4:4; its downscaling capability allows lower-resolution displays to present 4k content. The IPEX5002 also supports video walls up to 16x16 with Bezel Compensation. Free third-party control drivers are available for download.
