Directed SmartStart DSM550 SmartStart Pro 4G LTE GPS Module

The Directed SmartStart DSM550 is a Smartstart Gps module designed to add location, vehicle speed and customizable GPS alerts to an existing remote-start system. It enables smartphone control of vehicle functions including Lock/Arm, Unlock/Disarm, Remote Start, Trunk Release, Panic Button and 2 Aux Channels. Remote start is available via smartphone (Iphone 4.3 Or Later, Android Sdk 1.6 Or Later), but the vehicle must already be equipped with a remote-start system; not compatible with Blackberry devices. The module requires the V5.0 Or Newer Directed Smartstart App and a cellular connection in order to control the vehicle. 4G Lte technology offers the fastest smartphone response time in North America (Not Available In Canada), with 3G as backup. Service is sold separately and requires either a Secure 1- Or 3-Year Service Plan Or Gps Premium Service 1- Or 3-Year Plan (Sold Separately); the Premium Plan includes tracking-related features such as Smartpark, Social Media Check-In, Park Meter, Smart Fence, Hotspot Location Alerts & More. Installation is simplified with a 1-piece harness for faster, cleaner installs; the module is plug-for-plug compatible with existing installations and is optimized for use with Ds4/Ds4+ & other Directed digital systems while remaining fully compatible with most other Directed systems.
