The Estate Swing E-S1000H is a heavy-duty, single-arm solar gate opener designed for straightforward installation and everyday use. This model uses a 20 Watt solar panel to convert sunlight into electricity and store it in a battery, and its control board delivers one of the lowest standby draws among DIY solar gate openers on the market today (under 10mA). The unit features a generous control box sized to accept a larger Group size 24 battery (battery not included), which provides more operating cycles during periods of low sun or power outages. A fully charged Group size 24 deep cycle battery will deliver up to 300 cycles—or roughly 30 days of average use on a basic system—before needing a recharge. Mechanically, the opener offers a 500mm stroke length and is built to handle heavy or long gates while remaining gentle enough for lighter gates. It is compatible with wood, steel, aluminum, vinyl, chain link and other gate materials, and supports gates weighing up to 600 lbs or up to 16 ft in length with a maximum opening of 110 degrees. If configuring the opener to “pull to open,” the gate post or column must be a maximum of 6"x6" or gate-mounted 3" from the rear face of the column.
