The EZ5160 RGB is a stepper motor driver control module designed for high-performance 3D printer motherboards. It features 8 external power transistors and a voltage rating of 56V, giving broad compatibility with a wide range of stepper motors and strong adaptability for different setups. Quiet operation: the module can lock the motor quietly and run with low noise at lower speeds — it is recommended for use when motor speed is lower than 300RPM. It also delivers reduced noise and lower power consumption across a wide range of speeds and torques, and is recommended when motor speed exceeds 300RPM. Safety and detection: the board supports motor stall detection in systems without limit switches (use of limit switches is still recommended). Mechanical improvements: this version uses a newly developed board frame and a matching new connector to improve the unit’s appearance and make handling safer, preventing accidental injuries caused by the older driver pin style.
