Simply mow existing grass very short, lightly rake to loosen the soil, then shake the Clover Bee Lawn Kit to distribute seeds evenly across the lawn, water thoroughly, and watch new plants emerge. The blend includes Perennial Dutch White, Crimson Clover and Self-Heal seeds and is formulated to be kid and pet friendly while attracting beneficial pollinators and helping lower your property's carbon footprint. Flowering lawns also cut maintenance: once established you’ll mow less often each year and only need to water during periods of drought. Expect germination within 1-2 weeks with regular watering when soils are at least 50-60 degrees; seedlings will stay small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season the plants will bloom from late spring to early fall, reaching about 2-4" tall depending on your mowing height and frequency, providing an important source of nectar and pollen for pollinators.
