The 12 Gauge 4-conductor construction uses stranded OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) conductors for improved conductivity, greater corrosion resistance and better heat absorption compared to non-OFC wire. The conductors are insulated and enclosed in a rugged rubber jacket that resists oils, acids, water and chemicals, making the cable suitable for demanding environments and long-term use (-40°C to 90° Celcius). SJOOW (Service, Oil, and Water Resistant) construction and rubber insulation/jacket make this cable a common choice for marine, mining, power generation and oil & gas exploration applications.
