Overview: The HID ThinLine II 5395 is an RF proximity reader configured for SIA 26-bit Wiegand output in a classic white finish. It is built for reliable use both indoors and outdoors while supporting high-security card formats. Installation and mounting: Installs easily on a single-gang electrical box. It can be mounted directly onto metal surfaces with only minimal reduction in read range performance. Feedback and control: When a proximity card is presented, the reader’s red LED flashes green and the beeper sounds. The multicolor LED and the beeper can also be controlled independently by the host system. Start-up diagnostics: At power-up an internal self-test routine runs to verify the reader’s configuration, determine whether LED and beeper control is internal or provided externally, and initialize normal reader operation. Rugged, weatherized housing: Encased in a sealed polycarbonate enclosure engineered to resist harsh environmental conditions and provide a high level of vandal resistance for dependable performance.
