Overview: This bundle pairs Hifonics ZS65C 6.5" components with a set of ZS693 6x9" coaxials to deliver powerful, reliable in-car sound. Design & Materials: The tweeters use Neo-Mylar soft domes for clear, durable highs and impact-resistant operation. Cones are constructed from Alpha-Cellulose for a lightweight, stiff diaphragm that responds quickly while preserving deep bass. Surrounds are made of moisture-resistant rubber to withstand mid-bass impact and environmental exposure. Tweeter surrounds are Kapton to remain light and dissipate heat effectively. Motor, Voice Coil & Suspension: The motor system employs a Ferrite Magnet to produce a strong magnetic field in a compact package. Voice coils are pure copper with a Kapton former to create efficient magnetic interaction and help dissipate heat. The spider is a natural fiber component infused with epoxy for flexible movement during use and added structural strength from manufacturing. Electrical & Cooling: Braided tinsel leads provide high conductivity while staying flexible under high power. An overcoil cooling design exchanges air over the voice coil through the spider to assist thermal management. Crossover & Components: A Passive Butterworth crossover is used to smoothly hand frequencies between the midrange/midbass and the tweeter. The crossover includes in-line 12 dB premium capacitors to achieve precise crossover points and a refined component system. Structure & Installation: Speakers are housed in anti-resonant stamped steel baskets to minimize flex and reduce harmonic distortion. Connections are designed for spade terminals (soldering direct is also supported). Grills are included to protect the drivers (not required when mounted behind a vehicle panel).
