Made from aircraft-grade aluminum, this Hotbar 42" French cleat hanger is engineered for long-lasting performance and works on non-plumb walls. Often called clips, hangers or wall cleats, the design provides a secure mounting solution for mirrors, pictures, canvas, shelves and cabinets. Capacity and installation guidance: one pair for a 42" item is rated to safely support up to 200 lbs; we recommend using two long screws per cleat. If you need extra stability, install two pairs — one pair at the top and one pair at the bottom. Mounting details: holes are punched 1" apart and there are more holes than required so you do not need to fasten every hole; distribute screws evenly along the cleat. We include the needed screws (not for every hole), and you may add additional screws to increase holding strength. Built-in insert: insert the built-in piece when placing the item on the cleat hanger and remove it before locking another cleat. Installation normally requires only a drill and a screwdriver.
