Most car audio systems are built around 2- or 4-ohm loads, and the Kappa Series gives you the flexibility to match either one. SSI (Selectable Smart Impedance) is a proprietary HARMAN technology that lets you change the subwoofer’s impedance configuration with a simple switch. The Kappa voice coil uses a two-sided, ducted airflow construction to actively cool the coil, increasing power handling and long-term reliability — an aero-cooling approach uncommon in aftermarket subwoofers. Kappa cones are made with glass-fibers, producing an inherently nonresonant diaphragm that reduces distortion for clearer, more detailed bass. Heavy-duty terminals accept up to 8-gauge wire (8.37mm 2 cross section) to deliver low-resistance, low-loss power transfer even on long cable runs.
