The Larson Electronics CML-15-200lb is a 35 watt HID ControLight spotlight delivering 3200 Lumen output in a portable, vehicle-mountable package. The handle, positioned directly behind the lamp head, allows the operator to rotate and change elevation of the beam while holding the light. Built for use on moving vehicles, the Control Magnetic Lights CML series uses a strong magnetic base so the unit can be repositioned on one vehicle or transferred between vehicles as needed. In spotlight mode this HID projects roughly 15 million candlepower and reaches approximately 1900 feet. Power draw is 2.91 amps on a 12 volt system and 1.45 amps on 24 volts. The 5 inch diameter magnetic base provides 200lb of grip, keeping the light secured under heavy vibration and off-road conditions. Common applications include military and utility spotlights, roof-mount and work lights, hunting spotlights and linesman lights. The Department of Homeland Security has used lights with these bases mounted to vehicle doors for pursuits across desert terrain. Hunters favor this configuration because the lamp holds its position on target, then can be released once the target is located. Construction features include a solid polycarbonate handle mounted to a 7 inch long, heavy gauge, powder coated steel bracket. Interlocking aluminum and stainless steel brackets lock rotation and elevation after positioning. The housing is UV and salt resistant and holds a lamp lens that measures 4 inches square.
