The camouflage finish also helps break up the lens outline, making it less conspicuous to wildlife. Clear plastic windows provide visibility and access to the autofocus controls and the distance scale. An optional Velcro-attached panel is included for use when the lens is zoomed out to 400mm; it can be quickly added or removed as shown in the picture.
