Installation is as simple as dropping the tile into the grid and connecting the speaker wire. The speaker ships with a protective metal grill and spring-loaded speaker terminals for secure, tool-free hook-up. Power and wiring: These speakers support 70 volt and 100 volt line operation as well as low-impedance 8 ohm use. Multi-tap transformer settings include 10W, 5W, and 2.5W on both 70V and 100V lines; 70V also offers a 1.5W tap. In 8 ohm mode the loudspeaker handles 30 Watts RMS. Performance: Designed for clear speech, paging, background music and chimes, the DCS8T delivers a sensitivity of 91 dB and a 105 degree dispersion pattern.
