Premium construction and durable keycaps: The Captain72 uses an aluminium alloy top cover for enhanced durability, corrosion resistance and long-term stability, giving the keyboard a refined metallic finish. Keycaps are double-shot PBT for superior resistance to wear and oil compared with ABS, so legends remain clear even under heavy use. Hall Effect magnetic switching for near-instant input: Magnetic Hall Effect switches remove physical metal contact, delivering ultra-low latency and smooth, friction-free keypresses. These switches provide fast, precise actuation ideal for competitive gaming. Rapid trigger & adjustable actuation: The keyboard supports a minimum trigger distance of 0.1 mm and a configurable trigger range from 0.1 mm to 4 mm. Each key can be tuned with 0.1 mm adjustment accuracy. Three preset travel modes (Comfort, Sensitive, Game) are available and can be swapped on the fly to suit different playstyles. Software customization (Windows): MageGee’s driver lets you remap keys, program and edit macros, change RGB effects and set per-key trigger ranges. A ‘Reset’ button in the driver (bottom right) restores defaults. Note: the Captain72 driver only supports Windows systems. Gasket-mounted design and acoustic tuning: A gasket-mounted plate plus three layers of sound-absorbing pads between the plate, PCB and bottom case reduce vibration and hollow resonance for a softer, more even keystroke feel and a pleasing, muted sound profile. Hot-swappable, pre-lubed magnetic switches: The board ships with pre-lubricated magnetic switches for a creamy, responsive typing experience. Switches are hot-swappable without soldering for easy customization, and the keyboard is compatible only with OUTEMU magnetic switches. South-facing RGB lighting and on-board controls: South-facing LEDs enhance keycap illumination and provide vivid backlighting in low-light environments. Multiple built-in lighting modes are included, and you can adjust brightness and speed using function key combinations. Platform compatibility: The Captain72 functions with Windows and Mac OS systems; however, the supplied configuration driver is supported on Windows only.
