Engineered for durability and punch, these MB Quart Formula 4 FKB146 4 x 6 inch 2-way coaxials use Butyl rubber surrounds to provide long-lasting performance and deeper mid-bass impact. A Pure Copper voice coil creates a strong magnetic field and is manufactured with a very thin extrusion for improved efficiency. Thermal management is handled by a Kapton voice coil former that is lightweight and efficiently dissipates heat. The spider is made from Natural fiber to preserve flexibility, while an infused epoxy adds strength during the manufacturing process. Lightweight thermal-formed polypropylene cones promote a faster midrange response. An Over-coil cooling system allows air exchange over the voice coil through the spider to aid cooling.
