The system pairs aluminum dome tweeters—offering high output, extended frequency response and natural musical detail—with durable natural-fiber midrange cones infused with epoxy for added manufacturing strength and flexibility. Durability and performance features include butyl rubber surrounds for enhanced longevity and stronger mid-bass impact, a textured ABS gasket that ensures a rigid, linear seal to the mounting surface, and heavy-gauge progressive-die stamped steel frames that maximize structural rigidity. The pure copper voice coil produces a powerful magnetic field via a very thin extrusion, while a Kapton voice coil former keeps weight low and dissipates heat efficiently. An over-coil cooling system permits air exchange across the voice coil through the spider to help manage thermal load. This 6.5" component set is rated 140W max / 70W RMS with a frequency response of 55Hz–20kHz. Physical dimensions: mounting diameter 5.59", outside diameter 7.01", and mounting depth 2.12". The package includes an external passive Butterworth crossover housed in a compact enclosure for smooth frequency handoff between midrange/midbass and the tweeter; the crossover housing is small enough to be concealed during installation.
