Compact multifunction Fibre Optique Tester for FTTH deployments combining OTDR, optical power meter, stable light source and VFL in one handheld unit. It is built for single-mode fiber testing and offers SC interface connectivity for quick field measurements. Optical power meter: InGaAs probe covering 800-1600 nm with a measurement accuracy of 5% and a power range from -70 to +5 dBm. Stable light source and VFL: red visual fault locator at 650 nm with 5 mW output and selectable modulation of 0 Hz, 1 Hz, and 2 Hz. Light loss and OTDR functions: light loss test range 0-30 dB with 10% measurement accuracy. OTDR operates at 1550 nm and 1610 nm; detector is an avalanche APD with a satellite resolution of 0.6 meters. Event detection reaches up to 50 km and attenuation measurement capability extends to 30 km. Design and power: very portable footprint measuring 12.5*9*3.3 cm. Power options include an internal lithium battery or a Micro USB power adapter; battery runtime is up to 10 hours and the unit features an adjustable auto-shutdown. Environmental and target users: rated for operation from -10°C to +50°C and storage from -25°C to +70°C.
