Overview: The Monolith THX-465T delivers immersive home theater performance with an integrated upfiring, Dolby Atmos capable driver that works with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X processors or receivers. Use the built-in elevation/height driver to expand the vertical imaging of multichannel soundtracks for greater realism. Drivers and performance: The speaker employs carefully chosen transducers to achieve a flat frequency response in the listening window. Motor and cone geometry include four 6.5" high-excursion woofers, a 2" cloth dome midrange, and a 1" silk dome tweeter. The 6.5" woofers are long-fiber pulp cones with NBR surrounds and shorting rings to minimize distortion while delivering extended excursion. This combined driver array is engineered to provide accurate, detailed playback and the dynamics expected from a top-tier home theater loudspeaker. Cabinet and connections: Each cabinet is constructed from HDF (not MDF) for improved damping and a more sonically inert enclosure.
